Lake Bistineau
You will need to plan the areas that you are fishing at Bistineau by which way the wind is blowing. Yes, the Salvinia is back and it looks to be worst than before the drawdown....
Basically flipping creature baits and heavy jig combinations will be about all you can do. Rig your dark plastic creature baits Texas style with a 3/8 Tru-Tungsten or a 9/16oz. Black brown amber Southpaw Jig with a black neon trailer around the deeper Cypress Trees (6 to 8 feet) should be productive. Buzzbaits or Ribbit type frogs can be fish in or near shallow water with success early and late if the Salvinia is not to bad. Shad pattern 200 series Bandit crankbaits around the areas that the bass normally start to school up should be productive for some smaller bites.
